Oct. 09--A veteran firefighter received minor injuries when he fell through stairs after an explosion in an unoccupied building Saturday night, Milwaukee police said.
The Milwaukee Fire Department was called to a fire and explosion in the 1500 block of N. 39th St. shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday. A 60-year-old firefighter and 22-year veteran with the fire department was injured and treated
The Milwaukee Police Department's criminal investigation bureau is still investigating the fire.
