Circus Tent in Pa. Collapses, Several Hurt

SEWARD, Pa. -- A strong storm that blew through much of western Pennsylvania on Thursday knocked down a circus tent. The incident happened in Seward, Pa., which is northwest of Johnstown. Officials said the Lewis and Clark Circus was performing when wind knocked down the tent. Firefighters said there were people hurt; however, the extent of those injuries was unknown. Witnesses told Channel 11 News that several children were hurt and bleeding.

A strong storm that blew through much of western Pennsylvania on Thursday knocked down a circus tent. The incident happened in Seward, Pa., which is northwest of Johnstown.

Officials said the Lewis and Clark Circus was performing when wind knocked down the tent. Firefighters said there were people hurt; however, the extent of those injuries was unknown.
