APOPKA, Fla. --
A firefighter was trapped inside a fire truck Monday night after a power line fell across the vehicle as a house burned in Apopka, authorities said.
The firefighter was able to escape the truck after the power company secured the line at 712 Sheeler Ave. in Apopka, Orange County fire officials said.
According to fire officials, several 911 calls were made about 9:30 p.m. in regard to the fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but a power line to the home burned through and fell on the fire truck, officials said. The firefighter was trapped for about 10 minutes, officials said.
No one was injured in the fire.
