Fire Claims Two Lives in Pa. Residential Fire

SHARPSBURG, Pa. -- According to 911 dispatchers two people were killed in a fire that broke out at a home in Sharpsburg overnight. Fire crews were called to the 300 block of 10th street just after 1 a.m. with reports of three people trapped inside a burning home. The medical examiner identified one victim as Brittany Aquino, 23, of Sharpsburg. The second victim was identified as 24-year-old Matthew Sutton, of Plum.

According to 911 dispatchers two people were killed in a fire that broke out at a home in Sharpsburg overnight.

Fire crews were called to the 300 block of 10th street just after 1 a.m. with reports of three people trapped inside a burning home.

The medical examiner identified one victim as Brittany Aquino, 23, of Sharpsburg. The second victim was identified as 24-year-old Matthew Sutton, of Plum.

The Allegheny County medical examiner said the two died from thermal burns and smoke inhalation.

Fire crews were able to rescue one person.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
