PHOENIX -- Mesa firefighters rescued a tree trimmer who became trapped in a palm tree Saturday morning. Mesa fire spokesman Randall Roether said it was about 7 a.m. when the tree trimmer, a man in his 40's, became trapped under part of the tree material up in the palm tree located near Southern Avenue and Country Club. Roether said the technical rescue team was able to free him and bring him down the ladder. The man was taken to an area hospital as a precaution, but is expected to be alright.
