YAZOO CITY, Miss. --

Two Yazoo City firefighters were injured on Wednesday when a fire truck crashed.

The driver of the fire truck lost control of the vehicle and ran off the side of the road and flipped, authorities said. Capt. Roosevelt Johnson and Capt. Alex McNeal were both taken to a local hospital. McNeal was treated and released, but Johnson was still at the hospital recovering on Thursday. Officials would not give details of their injuries.

Glenn Warrington was one of the firefighters that responded after the wreck.

"That is just one of the calls we don't like to get -- having to rescue our own," Warrington said. "That was pretty tense for us. We heard the call and had to go and rescue our own guys."

The crash is under investigation. No other vehicles were involved, officials said.
