Tenn. Firefighter Hurt in Fall Through Floor

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling a house fire in south Nashville on Thursday morning. The fire occurred on Maxwell Road near the intersection of Old Hickory Boulevard and Murfreesboro Road. Crews were called to the scene at about 5:30 a.m. One firefighter was taken to the hospital after he fell through a floor and sustained an injury to his knee, according to authorities. Another firefighter was later hurt, but he is expected to be OK.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling a house fire in south Nashville on Thursday morning.

The fire occurred on Maxwell Road near the intersection of Old Hickory Boulevard and Murfreesboro Road.

Crews were called to the scene at about 5:30 a.m.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital after he fell through a floor and sustained an injury to his knee, according to authorities. Another firefighter was later hurt, but he is expected to be OK.

No one had lived at the home for months, but it was used for storage.

The cause of the fire is unclear.
