Baltimore Firefighter Injured in 2-Alarm Blaze

BALTIMORE -- Baltimore firefighters worked to put out a two-alarm blaze at a vacant house in the southwestern part of the city on Thursday. Fire crews were called to the 300 block of South Pulaski Street near Ramsay Street shortly after 4 p.m.

Baltimore firefighters worked to put out a two-alarm blaze at a vacant house in the southwestern part of the city on Thursday.

Fire crews were called to the 300 block of South Pulaski Street near Ramsay Street shortly after 4 p.m.

Fire Department spokesman Kevin Cartwright said the blaze spread to a neighboring vacant home.

He said a firefighter was injured when debris fell on him. The firefighter was taken to Shock Trauma for non-life-threatening injuries.

Sky Team 11 Capt. Roy Taylor said crews called for a building inspector to come because of the severe damage.

There's no word yet on a cause.
