Pittsburgh Firefighter Hospitalized After Fire

PITTSBURGH -- Fire crews were called to an abandoned house fire in the 400 block of Sloan Street in Pittsburgh's Esplen, at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. Crews reported heavy flames coming from all stories of the abandoned structure. A 54-year-old firefighter was transported to UPMC Mercy Hospital after complaining of dizziness. Arson investigators were called to the scene, the fire was said to be under control at about 4 a.m. but was still working.

So far, there's no word on what may have caused the fire.
