Maryland FF, Police Officer Hurt at Deadly Blaze

BRUNSWICK, MD -- A Brunswick police officer and a firefighter were hospitalized Saturday night following a house fire that claimed one life.The officer was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to a specialty center for treatment of smoke inhalation, according to WHAG TV.The firefighter was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.Brunswick firefighters responded to the house fire at 906 East C St., about 7:35 p.m. Additional companies were dispatched due to the intensity of the blaze.

BRUNSWICK, MD -- A Brunswick police officer and a firefighter were hospitalized Saturday night following a house fire that claimed one life.

The officer was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to a specialty center for treatment of smoke inhalation, according to WHAG TV.

The firefighter was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Brunswick firefighters responded to the house fire at 906 East C St., about 7:35 p.m. Additional companies were dispatched due to the intensity of the blaze.

Authorities have not released details of the person killed in the fire. The investigation is continuing.
