FOREST PARK, Ga. --
Firefighters are trying to extinguish a blaze at a Clorox plant in Forest Park that has sent plumes of smoke into the air near two interstates.
Police say the blaze began around 9:15 a.m. Thursday when a truck at the plant caught fire.
A Forest Park fire official told CBS Atlanta that there was some sort of explosion when Pine Sol caught fire.
There are safety precautions in place to prevent it from getting to the Clorox.
Three workers were injured. They complained of tingling and shortness of breath. They were treated on scene, but not transported to the hospital.
Dark plumes of smoke were rising near the junction of Interstates 75 and 285 south of Atlanta.
Several major interstates were shut down for nearly an hour because of the fire.
Crews are waiting on foam truck. Fire officials said there is no chlorine or chemicals in the air.
