HOUSTON -- A firefighter was hospitalized after battling a duplex fire in southeast Houston. Houston firefighters said a duplex caught fire on Avenue E near 72nd Street at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. The units were vacant but still had electricity.

A firefighter was hospitalized after battling a duplex fire in southeast Houston.
Houston firefighters said a duplex caught fire on Avenue E near 72nd Street at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The units were vacant but still had electricity.
One of the firefighters became dehydrated and was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
