Three Georgia Firefighters Burned at House Fire

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. -- Three Cherokee County firefighters suffered second degree burns while battling a house fire on Chestatee Court in Woodstock Sunday. Tim Cavender, Cherokee County fire spokesperson told CBS Atlanta that the three male firefighters were injured fighting what began as a chimney fire in a three story home. The firefighters were transported to Grady Hospital's burn unit. Cavender said they were conscious and alert.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. --

Three Cherokee County firefighters suffered second degree burns while battling a house fire on Chestatee Court in Woodstock Sunday.

Tim Cavender, Cherokee County fire spokesperson told CBS Atlanta that the three male firefighters were injured fighting what began as a chimney fire in a three story home.

The firefighters were transported to Grady Hospital's burn unit. Cavender said they were conscious and alert.

The four member family escaped the home without injury but were displaced Sunday night.
