A San Francisco firefighter was seriously injured on Nov. 9 while battling a two-alarm fire a coffee warehouse, according to Bay CityNews.
Debris from the warehouse fell on the firefighter and he was transported to San Francisco General Hospital. Lt. Mindy Talmadge told the news service that it was a "pretty serious injury."
Crews responded to at Jeremiah's Pick Coffee Co., at 1495 Evans Avenue shortly after noon.
The blaze is believed to have started in the warehouse's roaster, causing flames to spread to the roof and sending black smoke into the air.
Crews had difficulty battling the blaze because they could not access the rear of the building. The blaze was contained in under an housr.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is not considered suspicious.
