Pa. Firefighter Injured When Balcony Collapses

YORK COUNTY, Pa. -- A fire broke out at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at the Central Park apartment complex on Cedar Village Drive in Manchester Township, York County. More than a dozen people were displaced. The blaze started in a faulty electrical outlet in one of the townhomes, firefighters said.

A fire broke out at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at the Central Park apartment complex on Cedar Village Drive in Manchester Township, York County.

More than a dozen people were displaced.

The blaze started in a faulty electrical outlet in one of the townhomes, firefighters said.

That house was destroyed. The fire also spread to two other townhomes.

Two adults and a baby jumped off a second-floor balcony to save themselves from the fire.

One of the adults was taken to the hospital with an ankle injury.

A firefighter also suffered a wrist injury when the balcony he was on collapsed. He was treated at the scene.

More than a dozen people were displaced.
