Ohio Firefighter Battling Blaze Hospitalized

-- MIDDLETOWN -- An early-morning fire in Middletown sent one firefighter to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Flames were spotted at the home on Auburn Street about 2:45 a.m. Several crews from Middletown, Franklin and Monroe were called to the scene. Reports indicate the home was vacant and that the person who lived there recently moved out. No other injuries were reported. The firefighter is expected to be OK. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
