LINN VALLEY, Kan. -- The fire chief of Linn Valley was killed in an accident at the Linn Valley Lakes Fire Department on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the fire truck driver was attempting to back up the truck but accidentally pinned Chief Stanley Giles, 69, in between the truck and another vehicle, killing him.
The incident is under investigation.
