Two Va. Firefighters Injured in Crash

City of Richmond's Engine 12 was dispatched at 7:39 a.m. on Dec. 29 for a medical call, but they didn't make it."Engine 12 had lights and sirens activated," said Lt. Shawn Jones, PIO, "As Engine 12 approached the intersection of W. Cary Street and Meadow Street, the engine and a vehicle collided."Jones said that two firefighters and a victim from the vehicle were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. All three were treated and released.

No charges have been filed and the accident is under investigation.

Another unit was dispatched to medical call to replace Engine 12.
