Md. FF Gets Facial Burns at House Fire

BALTIMORE --   Investigators are looking into what caused a house fire in northwest Baltimore on Wednesday afternoon. Firefighters were called to a home in the 5500 block of Stuart Avenue at about 3 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators said the fire started in the basement and that the flames spread to the rest of the home. No one was inside at the time, fire officials said.

Investigators are looking into what caused a house fire in northwest Baltimore on Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to a home in the 5500 block of Stuart Avenue at about 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said the fire started in the basement and that the flames spread to the rest of the home.

No one was inside at the time, fire officials said. One firefighter was taken to a hospital because of burns to his face.

There is currently no word on his condition or the cause of the fire.
