A Dauphin County judge sentenced a man to between 15 months and three years in prison Monday for attacking two firefighters that responded to a blaze he set last April, according to The Patriot News.

Jeffrey Chappell, 30, was high on bath salts when he set the fire at his girlfriend's apartment.

The sentence came as part of a plea deal after Chappell pled guilty to charges of arson, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

After a crew from the Progress Fire Company responded, he pushed one firefighter down and hit another with a stick.

Neither firefighter sustained serious injuries in the incident.

Police in the area said this one just one of several bizarre bath salt-related incidents that occurred before the sale of the synthetic drug was banned in June.
