Kansas City Firefighter Falls Through Hole in Floor

A firefighter was injured early Thursday morning after he fell through a hole in the third floor of a vacant house that was on fire.

A firefighter was injured early Thursday morning after he fell through a hole in the third floor of a vacant house that was on fire.

The firefighter was battling one of two vacant house fires that were discovered about 4:45 a.m. in the 3800 block of Flora Avenue.

The firefighter was taken to a hospital for treatment of cuts and a leg injury, according to The Star's reporting partner, KCTV-5.

The causes of the two fires are being investigated.
