Two firefighters became trapped while searching a burning strip club.

Two firefighters were rescued after becoming trapped while searching for a woman during a strip club fire in downtown Trenton, Ontario Monday morning.

The firefighters rushed into Sherwood Forest Inn in search of a woman believed to be inside when the three-story building collapsed just after 11 a.m., according to The London Free Press.

A series of explosions kept crews back and sent debris into the streets, but a RIT team was able to enter the structure and rescue the two firefighters.

Police were later able to locate the woman believed to be trapped inside, who made it out safely.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
