A 62-year-old Texas firefighter cadet died during a cool down period after training at the League City Volunteer Fire Department’s training facility on Tuesday evening.
According to a notice posted by the U.S. Fire Administration, Donald Mize fell ill after training and died from a cause yet to be determined. Mize was treated and transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his condition.
