March 25--Two Kansas City, Kan., firefighters were injured this morning while battling a fire at a vacant house.

Firefighters were dispatched just before 10 a.m. to the 1800 block of Minnesota Avenue. The first units on the scene reported flames coming from a two-story residence.

One firefighter suffered a knee injury, and the other hurt his back and neck after they fell through a lower-level floor. Around 10:30 a.m., all firefighters were ordered to evacuate the inside of the house because of the danger of a collapse.

Officials estimated damaged to the home at $30,000 and said the cause was under investigation.
