April 09--One person was taken to a hospital in critical condition and another was hospitalized for smoke inhalation following a fire at a Fort Lauderdale high-rise condominium.

As some firefighters attacked the blaze, others carried a person who was inside down the stairwell to be taken to Holy Cross Hospital.
A second person was taken to Holy Cross because of smoke inhalation, Heiser said.
