Ferris Wheel Collapses at N.Y. Fire Department Carnival

Two carnival workers were injured in the collapse.

Two carnival workers were injured while taking down a Ferris wheel at the Spencerport Fire Department's annual carnival Sunday evening.

Spencerport Chamber of Commerce Chairwoman Jill Cordts told the Democrat and Chronicle that the workers were dismantling the ride after the carnival ended.

A snapped cable caused the collapse, WHAM reported.

The carnival grounds were closed at the time.
