Firefighters on Long Island are mourning the loss of one of their own.
East Islip Firefighter Allen Westby was found deceased at his residence on Sept. 23.
The 43-year fire service veteran had responded to an alarm with the department the day before, the USFA reported.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Overton Funeral Home.
A funeral Mass will be held at 9:45 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in East Islip.
