Texas Firefighter Hurt, Pinned Between Fire Truck And POV

A Little York firefighters was hurt when he was pinned between a fire truck and a private vehicle driven by another firefighter this morning.

A firefighter with the Little York Volunteer Fire Department was hurt when he was pinned between a fire truck and a privately owned vehicle driven by another firefighter this morning.

According to local television station KHOU, the 23-year-old firefighter was taken to the hospital by a helicopter after he was pinned between the vehicles at chest height. The station reported he was trapped for less than 20 seconds. The firefighter was sitting on the apparatus when another firefighter struck him with his private vehicle as he reported for duty.

The station also reported he was in stable condition at the hospital before being released.

The firefighter was not identified by name but he was described as a career firefighter with the Ponderosa fire station and part-time at Little York. He was further described as the son of a Houston Fire Firefighter, according to the station.
