Memorial Service for KC Firefighters to be Broadcast Live
The public memorial service for two Kansas City firefighters will be broadcast live at 2 p.m. CDT on KMBC.
Firefighters Larry Leggio and John Mesh perished Monday night when they were caught in debris following a building collapse.
The service at the Spirit Center is expected to attract several thousand people including firefighters from around the country.
The Kansas City Royals paid tribute to the fallen heroes during a playoff game earlier this week. Also, a special cap was designed to honor them.
Mesh is survived by his mother, wife and four daughters, while Leggio leaves his mother and wife.
