Ky. Chief Succumbs to Injuries from Fall

Calvert City Assistant Fire Chief Terry "TC" Culver passed away two weeks after he was injured while responding to a fire call.

Culver, 65, suffered heart attack-like symptoms when he responded to a call on Nov. 12. He fell from an apparatus onto a concrete floor.

He was treated at the station and taken to the hospital.

He succumbed to his injuries on Nov. 24.

"Terry passed away after a medical emergency while responding to a fire call within our great city," the department posted on their Facebook page. "We always mourn the loss of a firefighter, but when it is one of your own the hurt and pain is indescribable."

Culver was buried on Nov. 28.
