NY Firefighter Revived at Scene with AED

The Geneva firefighter collapsed while hooking to a hydrant.

An AED was used to revive a NY firefighter who collapsed at a barn fire Monday morning.

The Geneva firefighter was hooking up to a hydrant when he collapsed, according to WROC.

Colleagues rushed to him, and used an AED to restart his heart. He was transported to a hospital where he is in stable condition.

About the same time, a man near the scene pointed a rifle at police officers, the station reported.

He ran into his house, and emerged unarmed. After a brief confrontation and tasering, the resident was taken into custody.
