GA Firefighter, Wife Killed When Tornado Hits TN Mobile Home

A Bloomingdale firefighter and his wife were killed when the Ocoee, TN, mobile home they were staying in was hit.

A Georgia firefighter and his wife were killed when a tornado hit the Ocoee, TN, mobile home they occupied.

According to a report broadcast by WTOC 11, Mark Faulk Jr, and his wife Saundra, were killed when a tornado passed through Ocoee between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. Faulk was an active member of the Bloomingdale, GA, Fire Department.

Bloomingdale Fire Chief Ferman Tyler told the television station that Faulk became a firefighter a soon as he was old enough to do so, following in his father’s footsteps, who was a founding member of the department in the 1960s.

According to the TV station, Faulk split his time between long-haul truck driving and volunteer firefighting in his hometown.
