Two firefighters were hurt fighting a large fire in the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. Their injuries were considered minor.

According to television station KIRO7, the fire started Thursday in the nocturnal exhibit at about 3:15 pm. The zoo remained open, but no additional visitors were allowed in.

The zoo reported that although the exhibit was closed, there were six small turtles in a hibernation chamber in the burning building. Their immediate condition was not known, the television station reported.

Seattle firefighters helped remove around 200 animals from a nearby exhibit, including reptiles, amphibians and a tree kangaroo as well as tortoises, lizards and non-venomous snakes as a precaution.
