Idaho Firefighter Arrested for Assault of Firefighter at Oregon Fire Camp

The offending firefighter is accused of injuring his colleague at a Taylor Creek fire camp and has been sent home along with his crew.

A 28-year-old Idaho firefighter was arrested this week for assaulting another firefighter at a fire camp in Oregon.

According to radio station, 98.3 FM KLDR, Clayton Broncheau is accused of injuring another firefighter at a fire camp near Merlin. The unidentified victim was treated for injuries at Three Rivers Medical Center.

The radio station said Broncheau was detained at the fire camp by fellow firefighters until deputies arrived on the scene and he was taken to jail in Josephine County. He was booked on 4th degree assault.

Television station KCBY 11, said Broncheau was bailed out of jail and reported the fire administration for the Taylor Creek Fire said the offending firefighter and the group he arrived with have been sent home.
