Four Orlando firefighters are in quarantine after coming in contact with patients who tested positive for the coronavirus, according to the fire department.

Local hospital officials informed the department Friday of the exposure and the firefighters were told to self-isolate for 14 days, said spokeswoman Ashley Papagni.

“At this time, none of the firefighters are showing symptoms of COVID-19, however during this 14-day quarantine status, they will continue to self-monitor," Papagni said Saturday in an email.

The fire department continues to take all precautions recommended by Orange County health officials and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Papagni said, while responding to 911 calls reporting respiratory illness.
