Heartache as Young GA Firefighter Dies Suddenly

A fire and rescue department located to the south of Atlanta is mourning the sudden death of a young firefighter in its ranks.

Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services announced Saturday on social media that firefighter Jordan Bolden had died, although details on the nature of his death were not revealed.

Fire Chief Landry Merkison said in the announcement that Bolden was "one of our bright, rising stars."

"Take a moment today and tell your co-workers you are here for them and they always have a shoulder to lean on," the chief said, addressing department personnel. "Be there for each other; respect each other; and love your brothers and sisters."
