A third firefighter for a Massachusetts department has been hospitalized with COVID-19.

An Attleboro firefighter recently began experiencing severe symptoms from the virus and was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, WBTS-TV reports. Two other firefighters had been released from the hospital after being admitted for more than a week.

Multiple firefighters exposed to COVID-19 are currently quarantining. Last month, nine firefighters and two dispatchers positive for the virus.

It wasn't clear if those firefighters who contracted the virus ere covered by the city's injured on-duty benefits, the union told WBTS.
