A New York EMT who was a part of a long line of firefighters died suddenly Jan. 4.

"There's no words I can say regarding the sadness of Beckies untimely passing," said a commenter on her online obituary. "She deserved so much more time and was such a beautiful soul. I'll miss seeing her and hope for strength for her friends and family."

Eleczko was one of the many members of her family who has served with the Millgrove Volunteer Fire Company, including her father, Robert Eleczko, the current chief; her brother, Brandon Kozlowski-Eleczko, an EMS captain; her grandmother, Karin Eleczko, also an EMS captain; and her uncle, Chris Eleczko, a past fire chief, according to the department.
