PA Firefighters Recovering after Response Crash

The Mastersonville Fire Company announced on Facebook that four members injured in a crash on their way to a barn fire were all home and recovering.

Four firefighters that were injured in a crash while responding to a fire on Saturday are home and recovering, the Mastersonville Fire Company posted on Sunday evening.

The barn fire was first reported at 3:30 a.m. at 3324 Sunnyside Road, in Ralpho Township, according to a report from WGAL.

The fire company’s engine truck crashed on the way to the fire, according to the report, sending four firefighters to the hospital with injuries.

On Sunday, the fire company thanked everyone for help and support, adding that all firefighters involved in the crash are home from the hospital and are recovering.

The fire company went on to say that the engine truck involved in the crash is not expected to be used again.

The company said it would continue to serve its community.

Mastersonville Fire Co. is a 100% volunteer department serving Rapho and Mount Joy townships, as well as some of the surrounding areas.

In addition to the update on the firefighters, the company shared another post thanking Penryn Fire Company No. 1 and Manheim Fire Department for assisting them while they cleaned and debriefed.

“We will come out of this stronger and closer as a station!!!” the company wrote.
