Rombout, NY, Assistant Chief Suffers Medical Issue at House Fire

Assistant Chief John Lucariello, who collapsed at a Fishkill fire, is in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center.

The assistant fire chief of Rombout Fire Company is hospitalized in critical condition after collapsing at a house fire on Monday morning.

Assistant Chief John Lucariello received immediate treatment after being stricken. He was taken to a local hospital before being flown to Westchester Medical Center, known for cardiac care, according to Spectrum Local News.
