A Marion County man has been arrested for threatening a fire chief at a brush fire last year.
Christopher Smith, 39, is accused of threatening Bull Shoals Fire Chief Brent Mitchell after he was informed he'd be getting a citation for burning during excessive winds, KTLO reported.
During the altercation, he told Mitchell he was 'affiliated.'
Smith told the chief that the fire was started by one of the four children at the house. But, he became aggressive when Mitchell said he needed to take photos of the scene.
Deputies charged Smith is facing a felony charge of terroristic threatening and misdemeanor charges of attempt to influence a public servant and unlawful burning. He was released on $20,000 bail.
