Phenix Technology Fire Helmet to Appear on Science Channel's 'How It’s Made'

Riverside, CA – The Riverside, California based Phenix Technology, Inc. will have their famous First Due series firefighter helmet featured on the popular Science Channel television show "How It’s Made" on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 8:30 p.m. EST.

"How It's Made" is a documentary television series that premiered on January 6, 2001 on Science in the U.S., and Discovery Channel Canada. The program is produced in Montreal, Quebec by Productions MAJ, Inc. It is broadcast throughout the world and translated into dozens of languages.

The hit television show is a documentary that educates it’s viewers on how common, everyday items such as clothing and accessories, foodstuffs, industrial products, musical instruments, and sporting goods are manufactured.

Filming in Riverside, California took place in 2016. The four-person crew filmed the entire process for producing a thermoplastic First Due contemporary series firefighter helmet during a 13 hour day that began at 5 A.M. From the injection molding process to applying the helmet’s chinstrap, every step was filmed. Phenix Technology, Inc. is proud to manufacture their entire line of first responder helmets and accessories here in the United States using primarily Southern California sourced products.
