Portland, ME —To thank our nation’s heroes for their bravery and help ensure they are highly protected when called upon next time to battle a fire, whether structural or wildland, TexTech Industries is offering hood swaps at FDIC International, April 26–28 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Firefighters can bring their current hood/balaclava to the TexTech Industries Protective Markets booth (#9524) and swap it for a new CarbonX® Hood at no charge (while supplies last).
With performance levels that far surpass NFPA and EU standards, no facial gear protects against flame, heat, smoke, and ash better than CarbonX. Constructed to be truly non-flammable, CarbonX hoods will not burn, melt, or ignite. Even after intense exposure to direct flame and extreme heat, they maintain their strength and integrity and continue to protect. They also limit heat transfer much more effectively than FR hoods of similar weight.
The featured CarbonX line of hoods is made of the CarbonX NSM 18-19 1X1 rib knit fabric, which is comprised of a patented blend of high-performance fibers that provide an extraordinary level of protection. A double layer of the 7.0 oz/yd2 NSM fabric has an ATPV rating of 32.0 cal/cm2 and a TTP rating of 27.8 cal/cm2 and is EN 11611 Class 1 and EN 11612 A1, A2, B1, C1, E1.
Lightweight, soft-to-the-touch, and flexible, the NSM fabric is comfortable next to skin, breathes extremely well, wicks away moisture, and dries quickly. It is ideal for use in single-layer, double-layer, or triple-layer hoods.
Firefighters can bravely confront the unpredictable and relentless nature of fire equipped with CarbonX non-flammable gear, which includes: hoods, facemasks, helmet shrouds, baselayer garments, gloves, socks, turnout gear, boot liners, vehicle lining, equipment bags, bandanas, blankets, thermal insulator barriers, and structural heat shields.
The CarbonX product line will be on display at the TexTech Industries Protective Markets/CarbonX booth (#9524) at FDIC International. For more information about CarbonX, call (801) 415-0025 or visit www.carbonx.com.
