PBI Max LP in is a lightweight 6 oz. fabric that incorporates 30% DuPont™ Kevlar® filament, designed to increase tear resistance by up to four times that of competitive PBI fabrics. While any PBI shell will out-perform competitive fabrics in dynamic flame testing at 25-35 seconds, an outer shell with PBI LP fiber raises the bar on thermal exposure to almost 50 seconds of unmatched flame protection. PBI Max LP is not only stronger when new, but just as important, it is stronger throughout the life of the garment including after exposure to UV, the element most damaging to FR fabrics.
