The G1 City Edition SCBA was designed specifically to shorten the time needed to find firemen in need of assistance. Firefighters wearing a LUNAR Connected Device are guided to the location of a firefighter in distress thanks to the G1 City Edition SCBA power module's inbuilt Beacon radio receiver. LUNAR is a portable situational awareness tool that integrates thermal imaging, communication, and search and rescue capabilities. Crews can swiftly locate and approach a firefighter when they enter an alarm condition, which helps shorten search periods during some of the most stressful situations on the fireground.

Firefighters can locate firefighters in alert status more rapidly thanks to the simplified directional information provided by the LUNAR device's unique FAST (fireman Assist Search Technology) network. The LUNAR device may assist with searches, show SCBA air pressure statistics, and exchange critical information, such as firefighter alarm status and position data, when it is connected to a G1 City Edition SCBA.

Firefighters must maintain concentration on their objective despite working in harsh conditions for extended periods of time in their apparatus. New features designed to improve firefighter comfort and solve changing fire scene problems are incorporated into the G1 City Edition SCBA.

In comparison to the normal G1 SCBA retention band, the G1 City Edition SCBA's newly designed lightweight cylinder retention system reduces weight by over 10%. Long-term dependability and effective cylinder replacements are supported by the revised system, which preserves durability.

Additionally, a low-profile swiveling lumbar pad that can minimize weight by up to half a pound when compared to a conventional adjustable swivel lumbar setup is standard on the SCBA. The SCBA can sit closer to the firefighter's body thanks to its design, which also maintains the pivoting movement that allows the device to flow organically with the wearer.
