Streamlight Enhances Two Headlamps

Streamlight has launched upgraded versions of its Trident and Septor headlamps that improves firefighters' sight on scene.

Upgraded versions of Streamlight's Trident and Septor headlights have been released. The revised headlights provide industrial experts and outdoor enthusiasts adaptable, hands-free lighting with a modern, new appearance, enhanced performance and the same tough dependability consumers have trusted for years.

The Trident and Septor, which run on three AAA alkaline batteries, have a low-profile design, a sturdy polycarbonate shell and an elastomer over-mold construction for increased durability in harsh situations and all types of weather. Each of the headlights has:

  • Low-profile, lightweight construction
  • A 90-degree tilting head
  • IPX7-rated waterproof design
  • Unbreakable polycarbonate lenses
  • Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D; Class II, Division 2, Groups F, G; Class III, Temp Code: T4 safety ratings for use in hazardous locations

Long-range and close-up lighting are combined into one unit with the improved Trident headlight. With a single white spot LED and three white flood LEDs, users can effortlessly transition between broad task illumination and focused distance lighting. One flood LED, three flood LEDs, the spot LED and off modes are all cycled via its push-button operation.

The Trident has a beam distance of 126 meters, 200 lumens, 4,000 candela and a 6 1/2-hour run time when in Spot LED mode. It operates for up to 14 hours and produces 40 lumens, 40 candela and a 13-meter beam using three LEDs. The headlamp's single LED provides 15 lumens, 10 candela, a beam distance of 6 meters and an extended run duration of 28 hours, allowing users to adjust brightness and battery life according to the work at hand.

Wide-area task lighting is the purpose of the updated Septor headlamp. For inspections, maintenance tasks, and other hands-free applications needing wide, even light coverage, its strong white LED provides consistent flood illumination. Low, medium and high output settings are cycled using its push-button switch.

The Septor has a beam distance of 77 meters, 200 lumens, 1,500 candela and a five-hour run time in High mode. 80 lumens, 600 candela, a 49-meter beam and 27 hours of runtime are all provided by the medium mode. It has a beam distance of 28 meters, 25 lumens, 190 candela and 55 hours of continuous use when set to Low.

“Whether working on a job site or navigating the outdoors after dark, users need dependable hands-free lighting that performs in challenging conditions,” said Allen Lance, Vice President of Sales. “The upgraded Trident and Septor build on the trusted legacy of these headlamps with modernized designs and enhanced functionality while maintaining the rugged construction and versatility users expect from Streamlight.”

The Septor weighs 4.35 ounces and the Trident weighs 4.38 ounces with batteries included. Both variants come in yellow and include rubber hard hat straps and an elastic head.

The MSRP of the updated Septor headlamp is $67.39, while the upgraded Trident light is $52.76. Streamlight's Limited Lifetime Warranty covers both.
