DC Firefighter Sues after Life-Altering Accident

Dane Smothers Jr. was a Washington DC rookie firefighter when he was pinned between two pieces of apparatus during a response in 2017, shattering his future career.

Smothers, who nearly died in the incident, has filed a lawsuit against the fire department and says insufficient training could eventually claim someone else's life.
