The driver who struck and killed Triple Community firefighter Jason Hensley in October 2017 at the scene of a fallen tree has received a 28-month jail sentence.

Hensley was helping to clear the road at the scene in Burke County when he was hit by a pickup driven by Randall Stewart, who admitted to smoking marijuana before getting behind the wheel and later pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.
