HI Paramedic Hurt in Crash Makes Plea to Drivers

Honolulu EMS paramedic Jeff Zuckernick was seriously injured Sunday when a drunk driver ran a red light and hit an ambulance transporting a patient.

It was the second accident involving an area ambulance in two weeks after an American Medical Response unit was struck by another driver who ran a red light, injuring the patient and an EMT in the vehicle.
