Bay County firefighters have joined a nationwide trend of personnel devising their own ways to decontaminate vehicles and gear amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

Similar to a device created by firefighters in Tulsa, OK, Bay County crews are using an air bottle with a spray attachment to quickly disinfect their ambulances after medical runs suspected or known to be related to the virus.

A fire department in southwestern Colorado also got creative by building a UV light chamber to disinfect N-95 masks to prolong their use.
